Rhodes Student Selected for Proctor & Gamble International IDS Challenge 2010
The Proctor & Gamble International
IDS Challenge is a course designed for students from Proctor & Gamble's markets across
Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A small group of carefully-selected students
will get insight into how information technology is used in a global business environment.
They will work together in a "challenging and fun learning environment" to solve real-world
problems.
After a rigourous selection process, Jessica Smith, a first-year Computer Science student, was chosen by Proctor & Gamble as the student to represent South Africa at the IDS Challenge. This is great recognition of her current talent, and her future potential as a leader in the ICT industry.
The IDS Challenge will be held in Istanbul, Turkey in April 2010, and we wish Jessica every success as she participates in this intensive, fun and challenging event together with other students from around the world.
