First Postdoc Researcher Joins the Department

Dr. Hannah Slay joined the Department of Computer Science as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in July 2005.  Hannah recently completed her Ph.D. at the University of South Australia, in the field of augmented reality.  During the two-year term of her postdoctoral fellowship, she will be conducting research in the Centre of Excellence in Distributed Multimedia, which is funding the fellowship.

Professor Peter Clayton, head of the Centre of Excellence, was delighted to have attracted a researcher of Dr. Slay's calibre as the first Postdoctoral Fellow.  "We hope that this will be the first of several such appointments, which will add considerably to the research capacity of the CoE", he said.
